The eclectic jewelry of a collector and writer

I’m a bona fide jewelry lover. I’m also a watch and jewelry content creator who contributes to fashion and jewelry magazines like Vanity Fair, Rapaport Magazine, and Meet the Jewelers. Jewelry and I go way back. My great grandfather was instrumental in creating the Diamond Bourse, a diamond exchange based in London's Hatton Garden area, so you could say jewelry is in my blood.

Jewelry embodies romance, art, and history, a culmination that results in gorgeous pieces that can outlive owner after owner. Recognizing that we are a part of jewelry’s journey as much as it’s a part of ours is what makes working with jewelry so thrilling. Whether it’s the beauty of the individual gemstones or the luxury of the refined craftsmanship of a finished piece, being able to work with artists creating pieces that conjure emotions is what draws me to this industry. Every day is an adventure when I meet wonderfully unique and contrasting artists, hear their stories, and create my relationship with their work. Jewelry is made for many reasons, but perhaps the most profound are love, passion, and devotion.

My Cartier Love ring was given to me by my mother with a secret message inscribed on the inside of the band: "If ever there comes a time where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever." It's a quote from Winnie the Pooh. This is an incredibly personal piece. My mother and I live in different countries and time zones, and it's hard to be so far away from your best friend. This ring symbolizes our unbreakable bond. No matter where my mom is or how far apart we are, we are always together. I wear it every day.

I bought myself this pair of antique diamond and opal studs with my first ever paycheck. I was wandering around the department store Liberty London's antique jewels booth after payday, and they stole my gaze instantly. They are the first fine jewelry I ever bought myself, and every time I wear them, I feel empowered. I mostly wear them on special occasions or to dinner dates when I feel like being fabulous.

My Van Cleef and Arpel Alhambra mother of pearl pendant necklace was a gift from my Godmother for my twenty-fifth birthday. It was my first piece of Van Cleef and Arpel jewelry. It's a big moment in a jewelry collector's life when you introduce a new brand to your jewelry box, especially one rich in history.

I was gifted this sapphire and diamond ring by the jewelers to the Royal Family of Abudhabi. It was such a memorable, luxurious experience. What I love most about it are the varied hues of purple and blue sapphires set on its surface. They are all interesting in shape and color. This ring reminds me of raindrops.
