Big bangles! Huge pearls! Fresh fringe!

There are still a few weeks of summer—have you worn any of our favorite summer trends? There’s still time! We’re already looking to the future, when the leaves change, temps fall, and we switch out our closet essentials. The fall runways showcased bold trends, with statement-making bracelets leading the pack. Jumbo pearls in every form are the latest pearl trend, with gumball necklaces aplenty. Fringe is one of the throwback trends with avant-garde touches. Fall florals and lock and key jewels are resurfacing as go-tos for romantics.

Style tip: new jewels easily refresh your style. Here are the five trends to help you transition into fall.

Bangin’ Bangles

Bracelets are one of the *biggest* runway jewelry trends this year. While cuffs were the “it” jewelry piece on the Spring/Summer ’22 runways, the bangle is what designers decided to embrace for Fall/Winter. Nostalgic ‘80s and ‘90s styles stand strong with modern and geometric shapes in every width and metal.

Gobstopper Pearls

Pearls will never go out of style. Their versatility is what keeps them in the mix, from the classic pearl necklace to the funky Pearlcore pieces embraced by fashion-forward people from every generation. The next pearl trend is the massive gobstopper-size pieces that were once big in the ‘80s and resurrected on the Fall/Winter runways to the utmost degree.

Fringe Fascination

Looking back is sometimes the best way to move forward, and that often rings true in jewelry design. Take fringe, for instance, with its roaring ‘20s references (rhinestones or diamonds) mixed with ’80s avant-garde cues (single statement earrings), all looking of the moment in a plethora of forms swinging their way into a thoroughly modern season.

Forever Florals

How can designers (or customers) say no to instant mood-lifting blossoms? They were on the Spring/Summer ’22 runways in gilded forms, and the trend continued to grow with fantastical blooms in vivid-hued gemstones and metals. It makes sense that the trend would continue into the cooler months in forever forms of silver and gold.

Lock & Key Love

A favorite motif of many, from cool brands like EERA to luxury brands like Tiffany & Co., the lock and key trend has resurfaced. The symbolism of the key—unlocking doors or key to my heart—and the lock (love that lasts forever) are what make the motifs great gifts. But, the punk influences attached to chokers or worn as single earrings make them just plain cool.
