Girl with a cool pearl earring

Sure, a classic pearl stud or drop is a must in any jewelry lover's collection, but for many, the days of tradition when it comes to jewels are gone. The Spring/Summer 2022 NYFW runway is a shining example of a pearl earring redux, with avant-garde sculptural looks at Luar, mix-n-match organic styles at Ulla Johnson, and even pearl accented throwback iron-on earring styles at Anna Sui. But you don’t have to wait for spring to start sporting this style, as designs from across the globe already have plenty on offer.

Venus Baroque Pearl

Sequin has many collections within its store where everything is “designed for women, by women.” These chandelier danglers are just one example of their whimsical styles that incorporate contemporary talismans.

Stella

Joey Baby started in 2020 in Manhattan during the pandemic. Their focus was a then (and now) necessity: a mask chain. The brand has grown quickly and significantly with jewelry that is “fun and edgy, while staying elegant and sophisticated.”

Pearl Moon

Greatest Flame

In designing these earrings, Alighieri designer Rosh Mahtani wanted to create a "collection of shapes that mirrored the suspension of the scintillating lights, flickering and glinting on Dante's path." These mixed media earrings, rightfully named "The Greatest Flame from the Smallest Spark," include a freshwater pearl in completing that story.

Sterling silver, briolette rock crystal, and freshwater pearl in Hatton Garden, London “The Greatest Flame from the Smallest Spark” earrings, $512 at Alighieri
