Four Elements: Harmonious Peridot

What's your birthstone? It's kind of like your birthday but in gorgeous gemstone form. It's something to celebrate. The ancient Greeks believed everything was made of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. We believe every birthstone month deserves (at least) four jewelry wishes. Happy birthstone!

Look on the bright side with August’s bold birthstone

August’s gleaming green birthstone, peridot, was appropriately called the “gem of the Sun” by the Egyptians. They also believed it had special healing powers, associating it with harmony, good health, and peacefulness.

While some gems, like sapphire, come in an array of colors, peridot is exclusively green—specifically, a vibrant, citrusy shade of the hue. There’s no denying it’s one of the most cheerful birthstones, and when paired with a pop of turquoise or punchy pink enamel, it’s the ultimate summer-worthy sparkler for August-born babes.
