Daisy Girl
Flower child nostalgia is back in full bloom
The daisy motif first blossomed into fashion during the 1960s as a symbol of peace and passive resistance—“flower power”—in opposition to the Vietnam war. Fast-forward to the late 90s, and these petals were posh once again thanks to the playful trends of rave culture and Y2K. Daisies have long been associated with the innocence of youth, optimism, and new beginnings. It’s no wonder they’re making yet another perennial reappearance, evoking all things sweet and carefree. These whimsical, joy-infused jewels are just what the doctor ordered to get us back into the groove this spring.
