Meet Mitchell’s

Since 1981, Newt Mitchell has brought Antwerp diamonds, bridal jewelry, and designer collections to his customers. As co-owner and the marketing muscle behind the family-run store, Gina is Newt’s other half who joined the company in 1999 after she and Newt married.

After nearly three decades in a downtown location, Newt and Gina moved Mitchell’s in 2013, where Gina created a luxurious yet inviting space—think gold cork floors and glittering diamond rooms. A sports room hosts can’t-miss games where Belgian beer is on tap, a nod to Mitchell’s prestigious connection to Antwerp diamonds.

Mitchell’s Story

Mitchell’s jewelry is the largest importer of Antwerp diamonds in Oklahoma. Antwerp is one of the world’s largest diamond trading centers and has been since the 15th century, when an inventor created a new diamond polishing tool. Real Antwerp diamonds are cut with true craftsmanship by skilled Flemish cutters. The Mitchell’s team travels to Antwerp each year to find the best and brightest stones for their store.

Jewelers On-site

Having a team of on-site jewelers enables Mitchell’s to offer a handful of services aside from buying jewelry. They do custom designs for clients using CAD, and offer engraving and monogramming. They also offer coin and jewelry appraisals for insurance companies, estates, and will planning, as well as repair services. If you’re seeking a diamond upgrade, look no further.

The Team

Mitchell’s has been an active member of the Independent Jewelers Organization since 2005. They’re the exclusive Master IJO Jeweler in their area, offering the industry’s most innovative technology. They’re extremely knowledgeable of trends in fine jewelry and value trust, integrity, and tradition.

Giving Back

Newt Mitchell was born and raised in Norman, so his community ties run deep. The Mitchell family is passionate about giving back. For example, they organized a drive-up food drive for Food & Shelter, a local group that provides services that empower people in need of food, homes, and hope.
